The Green Cleaning Product That Your Bathroom Needs

Cleaning a bathroom can be such a chore. No one would ever volunteer to doing it in this house. In a big family, I think it would be an understatement to say that our bathroom needs an awful lot of regular cleaning. And not just the simple cleaning, I’m talking here about thorough clean-up, a concentrated effort of keeping the bathroom spotless clean and free of grime and dirt.

I have already tried various cleaning products available in the market today. There are so many of them to choose from. Though all of them are promising to keep the bathroom looking the best that it possibly can, it is quite hard to settle on one particular brand. But I have already a list of criteria in mind of what type of product I want. I wanted a natural cleaning product. I wanted something that won’t be harmful to me, to the kids and to the environment where it will eventually go back to. Now my options have been narrowed down.

There were several organic cleaning products that were designed to clean bathroom floors. I have tried many, and have also been disappointed many times. There are plenty of good organic cleaning products, but they don’t seem to fit well to my tastes. Some products give off a powerful smell, and some don’t give off any at all. I wanted a product that has just the right smell - fresh and clean and that would last for days. Some don’t thoroughly clean the floors and just give some sort of glint, which is not what I wanted. It really was quite difficult. I have tried a lot of products and just when I was going to give up and just settle on the second best, I have discovered one natural cleaning product designed to keep bathroom floors clean at its best.

My favorite green bathroom cleaning product is called 20 Mule Team Borax. It is a cheap cleaning product that came in powdered form. At first, I was pretty doubtful with what it can do. I have tried powdered products before and they seemed to be pretty okay, so I might just try this one as well. Borax is certified green cleaning product. It does not contain any harmful toxic chemicals, especially phosphates or chlorine. It is also safe for septic tanks. Its active ingredients include sodium tetraborate decahydrate. That active ingredient may sound like a mouthful but it is a naturally-occurring chemical compound and mineral. The smell is not very strong which I quite like. It has a soapy scent which also gives you a clean and fresh impression after you are done cleaning the bathroom.

The cleaning instructions of the product include sprinkling the powder on a damp cloth or sponge, whatever is available or whatever suits your taste. Borax may a bit messy, considering that it is in powdered form and the packaging is not very convenient as well, with it being in a big, heavy box. But aside from that, this product is really good at what it does. Using this product, I was able to transform my bathroom into a spotless clean shower. It works so much cleaner in such a shorter time. It took me almost no effort to clean the place. It was amazing! I have finally chosen the bathroom cleaning product for me. And aside from it being really affordable and really, really effective, it was a green cleaning product too! What a bargain.
